Saona island belongs to the National East Park.
The surface of the island is 110 km ² . It has beautiful coral reefs , coastal lagoons, a great diversity of bird and reptile species , and also has interesting archaeological sites and caves that were used by the Tainos .
We invite you to explore this natural reserve in a different way . Our tours are quiet and familiar with the purpose of discover and enjoy the natural environment as much as possible as well as Dominican cultural contact with the people of the island. We emphasize the personal service and guided tours of the spectacular food of Pepe “El Lanchero” .

The tour that we offer has  small groups (8 to 30) and is focused on  nature , enjoy the natural resources and snorkelling .Also a bit of contact with the Dominican culture .
We leave from Bayahibe at 9.00am and returns no later than 5pm.
We visit one of the last beaches of Saona, Pepe´s beach , where we are the only peple who reach this beach.
In these beaches you can have a swim , walk, sunbath or snorkelling as there is a coral reef . We will have a healthy snack of fruit and homemade cake .
Visit the village of Mano Juan , fishing village on Saona Island and visit the Turtle Sanctuary which actively collaborate and contribute with . If we’re lucky , the day the tour is done we can find baby turtles . Turtles lay eggs 80% of the year . The eggs are collected and stored in the sanctuary until the turtles hatch . These are held in the sanctuary for 3-4 days before being released .
Lunch at the beach includes grill fresh lobster , fish, chicken , rice, potatoes , salad and fruit. All food is home cooked on the same day . The fish is very fresh as Pepe catch it the day before the tour.
Includes drink Presidente beer , Brugal rum , Coke , Sprite and water.

It is recommended to bring a towel , sunscreen much , mosquito repellent , some money in case you want to buy something at the village  of Mano Juan .
In Mano Juan are shops with crafts and paintings often sell even attractive price , usually cheaper than hotels .
There are also massage therapists and make affordable braids .
Shopping in the village will help the local economy .
